Pretty Lost Dolls
Fucking fantastic is the best way I can describe this book. It was exactly what I sought. After reading the first book, I knew what to expect but was I right and wrong at the same time. I got way more 'DARK' stuff than I had imagined and had come up with and I totally LOVED it. For starters, I had a fear whether I would be able to digest the violence and gore parts in this book that was even more than the first part ( if that is even possible or so I believed) but I could actually read and stomach it! I am actually proud of that since the authors have done a fine job in explaining every act in fine detail without just skimming through those parts. That's exactly why this book is the best description for DARK and is definitely not meant for all. As far as I am concerned, I just became a bigger fan of the books of this genre post THIS book series. Coming to the story - It was C for Crazy. The mind fucking - questioning sanity kind of Crazy. The mystery surrounding Benny's upbringing which made him the psycho that he is was finally revealed. It was totally fucked up just like him and something NEW even for this genre. All the pieces of the puzzle finally end up together. This was not a great mystery and it's quite an easy guess but somehow this part of the story didn't feel completely right to me. I wish there had been a better plotline than this but for the story to become believable without any flaws this seemed convenient but essential. If it had taken another route, I would give it five star plus! But then again, it's not like I am complaining, this turned out to be okay when we see the whole picture. Now the characters. Jade is no longer a victim she is a fucking cop and a fighter, a true survivor. She doesn't make it so easy for Benny this time but he still gets his way with her and I can't help but find those parts HOT. The panty-wetting kind of HOT. Dillion is the true hero and rescuee again. Nothing new is added to his character as such but his love for Jade is beautifully presented. I love the man and he is perfect for Jade. Macy is EVIL and a real psycho bitch. Her madness is described in great depths and I am certain all readers would HATE her. There are many taboo scenes in this book all thanks to her ( that's actually a good thing, at least as for me). Regarding Bo, I truly feel sorry. He didn't deserve the kind of torture inflicted on him for no fault of his. Coming to Benny, I wanted to hate him real badly and I did in the first book, but in this book I just couldn't. It's not like he was portrayed in any good light, but I kind of liked his fucked up love for Jade; his dirty little doll. His actions though were shit Crazy, totally stole the show in this book. There were quite a few chapters from his POV and when I saw things from his perspective,I couldn't hate him as such. He kept telling that he is not a pervert and maybe he is not or maybe I am going a little crazy about him and I don't think that's normal. But I can't help it, I have a thing for antiheroes. Finally the ending!!! It was crazy like other parts and characters in this book and in my eyes, it is the PERFECT ending for such a story. I so wish there was a third book but sadly there isn't. I would love to read more about BENNY:p definitely five stars from my end!!
