Review of Before You

This book is all about the feels and interwoven play of emotions. It's such a beautiful and incredible mix, that till the very end it holds our heart hostage. This story was so complex and yet felt very smooth and simple when bring read. Unique and throat provocation executed in such a clever and intriguing way.

Though the plot of the story is something unusual, it's the way it unfolds that makes it even more intriguing and almost gives it a thriller like vibe. That's what I love the most about Marni Mann's books. They are all romantic at the core and yet have this suspenseful atmosphere where we can't really predict what's going to happen and what has already transpired. It's like there are two parallel storyline usually in two different timeless that seamlessly integrates towards the end, also providing this we heartbreaking and angst filled climax where the truth is finally revealed. And it has worked so far for her every single book and for that she deserves a special kudos.

This book had Jared and Billie as two main protagonists in the present timeline, who meet 'coincidentally' in a flight where they are seated next to each other and the happenings there stars a cute love story and in parallel we also have Andrew and Honey from an earlier timeline and we also see their romance brewing and slowly evolving through the years.and until almost the 70% mark, I was clueless on how the two stories tied together and when finally the trust was revealed, I was so heartbroken! It's such a tragic smart and beautiful touch that gives a whole new 'twist' to the story and also a very different perspective and how things played out. Truly marvelous, and so very romantic! Loved loved it!

My one small teeny wineeny complain is that there was no showdown as such between the two main leads and a better, more rounded ending. Not that's it's absolutely necessary, but it could have made this even better.
